Announcing Class of 2014 CBE Senior Models

We received so many applications (almost 70) but these amazing young ladies were clear standouts at their interviews.  Meet the newest Class of 2014 Captures by Erin Senior Models!

Beautiful Vanessa is a senior at Birdville High School this year.  Among many accomplishments, she is Class President, an avid volunteer in her community, and wants to attend Rice University to become a doctor.  I asked Vanessa if she had a boyfriend and she quickly said, “No – there is no time for that.  I have to stay focused on my path.”  LOVE THAT!!!

Stephanie will be graduating from Seguin high school in 2014.  She is a talented writer and wants to major in journalism!  She is in charge of her school’s newspaper and is an avid writer of all things from music lyrics to stories to poems.  Stephanie is short but sassy and is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.   She was a natural in front of the camera!

Victoria is a busy senior at Classical Covenant School this year and hopes to attend Ouachita Baptist University after graduation.  She is obviously a gorgeous girl but also an award winning artist, a talented musician, and a huge Rangers fan!  In her application, she said: “Senior pictures are important because they are a reflection of my life up to this point – my style, my home town, my personality… all encapsulated in a single photograph.”  Fabulous! I may steal that!!!

Baylie is an outgoing senior at James Martin High School in Arlington.  She is active in a number of activities and is a talented member of the Theatre Department at her school.  When asked what she wants to do after high school, she expressed a deep desire for overseas mission work.  She is bubbly and obviously adorable and I loved her energy!  I have no doubt Bailey will go far in life and am thrilled she chose to represent Captures by Erin!

Ashlee is a talented senior at Azle High School.  Ashlee’s passion for life and positive personality won me over immediately!  To say she is ambitious is an understatement and we can all look forward to her being on The Voice some day!   I have no doubt that life has so much in store for this young lady and I am thrilled to have her as part of the Captures by Erin Senior Model team!

Lizz (that’s TWO z’s thank you)  is a driven young lady and senior at Keller Central High School.  She plans to begin her career even before she graduates!  Lizz is a talented cosmetology student and aims to be an esthetician as early as next year.  I loved her artistic and trend setting style and knew instantly she would be a great fit at Captures by Erin.

May 25 Mini Sessions Benefiting The Salvation Army

Last night, my family and I stayed glued to the news watching in horror as reports of tornadoes – 10 of them – ripped through Hood County.  The results were catastrophic.  As of this morning, 6 dead, 14 missing, and over 50 injured.  Not to mention, homes and businesses demolished leaving many homeless and faced with the daunting task of clean up and the hundreds of other tasks that most of us cannot even begin to imagine.  As I sit here in my dry, cozy home, drinking my warm coffee and nibbling at my egg whites, feeling relieved that my new plants were not damaged by hail…  What a contrast.  Very humbling indeed.

After doing a bit of research, I discovered the organization providing a significant amount of disaster relief to Granbury is The Salvation Army of Dallas Fort Worth.  They are there now providing meals, spiritual, and emotional support to those first responders and those affected by the storms.  http://blog.salvationarmyusa.org/2013/05/16/salvation-army-serving-north-texas-following-deadly-tornadoes/  The also provided significant aid for the tragic explosion in West, TX.

How can I help?  How can YOU help?  Captures by Erin would like to host a 20 minute studio Essentials session date for Saturday, May 25.  100% of proceeds will go to The Salvation Army.  Appointments are necessary and due to the time and space constraints ideal for a child, couple, or well behaved pet.  The Creative Fee to book is $50 with print collections beginning at $175.  There is no theme.  Just an incredible opportunity to give back.

Once per month we hold an Essentials by Erin mini session date on a Saturday which creates a special opportunity to take advantage of a short session with less expensive print collections.  Last month, photography took place in a field of long grasses and flowers.  The wind was completely out of control with 35 mph wind gusts but the families were all so fun loving and easy going about it, it really was so much fun.  Too many favorites to count but here are a few to share.
