This little angel was just days old when she came for her first photo shoot at Captures. She made our job so very easy! What a girly girl!

So what could be more fun than two handsome brothers and an EnglishBulldog named Sugar? Well duh… nothing of course! I was THRILLED… (thrilled thrilled thrilled) to be able to photograph an English Bulldog! Sugar was such a funny little girl snorting around the studio. I think she kind of liked hanging out with us! When dogs come for a visit, they immediately go off leash so they are able to explore freely to get acclimated. They quickly figure out where the yummiest treats are and what they need to do to get them! Of course with a doting family by her side, she settled in quite nicely.

I just love photographing little girls who love being photographed! Lauren came in with her brother Jake for some individual portraits at the studio. We started outside and around the building and then moved into the studio for more variety. Our goal was to get clean, candid shots of Lauren who is an aspiring actress! Her excitement was contagious. I think she could’ve lasted hours longer than I (or her brother) could!

Look at this adorable kiddo! Seriously… what a natural in front of the camera! Rest assured, he has a personality to match the adorable smile as well! I am not sure who had more fun – me or Jake! We had a blast shooting in and around the studio for a variety of looks! Fort Worth has the most amazing locations to shoot at but my very favorite spot to photograph children is right here at the studio. We can get a really great variety inside and outside in a relatively short amount of time so the kids don’t burn out. The faster we get our shots, the happier the little super models are in the end!
The mom of this child supermodel and I used to live across the hall from one another in college. The pressure was on to get some good shots because… well I won’t even tell you how much dirt this girl has on me! I don’t need to give her any reason to let any of that info slip!

Yay! A sweet baby girl! Sleepy Miss Reagan was an absolute angel at her newborn photography session. The studio is stocked with the cutest of the cute props including hats, bows, bowls, baskets, wraps, blankets… you name it. Clients are welcome to bring their own personalized items to incorporate into the images, however. The owl hat pictured here was a gift and just perfect! I just love being a newborn baby photographer!

Out of the different types of portrait sessions we book at the studio, the Maternity-Newborn package bookings thrill me the most. I not only have the opportunity to create artistic images of the beautiful pregnant form – which is inspiring in itself. But I have the honor of watching a new couple and their unique love affair between themselves grow and extend into a love like no other with their precious new baby. It truly is the epitome of family portrait photography. Capturing pure, God given love from the very beginning.
Chasity and Mike booked not only their maternity and newborn sessions but also joined our Bebe Plan as well. I am so excited to watch this sweet family grow! (As a side note – how absolutely stunning is Chasity??)

Maternity Portraits in Fort Worth
To book a Maternity-Newborn combined package, please call us at the studio to arrange a consultation. The $250 Creative Fee includes both maternity photography and newborn photography sessions plus a complimentary set of custom designed birth announcements. Maternity sessions should be booked well in advance and photographed anywhere from 28 weeks to 32 weeks gestation (depending on body type). Newborn sessions are best photographed within the first 2 weeks of life.
I love love love this family so much! Every session with them seems better than the next. Good looking parents and adorable, sweet little boys – really could not get any easier than that!

One reason I chose my studio location in the middle of Fort Worth is because of the variety of fabulous outdoor settings to choose from in the area. The Botanic Gardens (and Japanese Gardens), Trinity Park, Sundance Square, the Stockyards, flowing fields, urban pockets and alley ways, and so much more. It is no secret that I adore my city because of the laid back and genuine people. Add in the funky textures and beautiful scenery and it is a photographer’s dream environment!
Despite the beautiful surroundings of our centrally located Fort Worth studio, many clients opt for a personalized setting that is closer to home. This family’s session was a special gift for Mom that was a long time coming so a unique and sentimental outdoor atmosphere was essential! We began at their gorgeous home near Eagle Mountain Lake and then drove a short way to an isolated part of their neighborhood where the fog was rolling out and the colors were just so soft and serene. It truly was one of the most beautiful areas I have ever photographed in. I so wish my camera had been out of the bag to catch the group of a dozen or more deer gliding across the road!
We were able to provide this family a variety of looks during their session to combine coordinating images of Mom and Dad, the siblings together and individually, just the girls, just the guys, the engaged couple, and of course, the entire family for their beautiful signature album they chose at their ordering appointment.

Remember that traditional studio family portrait that hung over the fireplace when you were a child? I have photographed this family for a number of years at their home for a personalized experience. We combine indoor and outdoor portraits throughout their property for the most variety. This time, we showcased their classic antique car as a prop and it was just too much fun!

Boys are so fun! Having three sons, I know exactly how much they loathe being in front of the camera! It was extra important for Mom to have a great portrait of her son at this session since he is so often on the move! I think he is model material!! What a cutie!!

I love the studio being in the middle of Fort Worth and just about a block from TCU. The buzz from the students is contagious during football season and, in this case, graduation time! The streets are packed with professors and ministers and of course, graduates decked out in their robes. When I was growing up (a long long time ago lol) no one ever really commemorated that time with a senior portrait session like they do in high school. I am so thrilled that that is changing! To me, a college graduation is such an incredible accomplishment. Why would you not?
Marissa is a psychology major at TCU and is so excited for her future! She is such a lovely person inside and out! We had a fun time walking around the Stockyards and being silly. Thanks so much for coming to Captures by Erin for your senior portraits! Congratulations!
